Simi Valley | Officer performs CPR – Helps save Juvenile

During the evening hours of August 10, 2018, SVPD dispatch received a call from a residence in the 2800 block of Fairbanks regarding a juvenile subject with a medical emergency. Officer Sarfaty arrived within 90 seconds and discovered the juvenile was not breathing. He immediately began CPR. Officer Sarfaty used an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), which every SVPD patrol vehicle is equipped with, to continue life saving techniques until medical personnel arrived. 

The juvenile was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to an out of area medical facility for continued care.
