Simi Valley | Physical Altercation Between Roommates Leads to Felony Arrest

On July 3, 2018 at approximately 2:30 AM, Simi Valley police officers responded to the 1200 block of Gibson Street regarding two roommates who were involved in a physical altercation. When officers arrived they contacted the victim who said that during a physical altercation with his roommate, the roommate brandished a handgun, placed the barrel to the side of the victim’s head and threatened to kill him.

The roommate (suspect) was identified as Jeremy Lepold (38 yrs.) from Simi Valley. After several attempts to get Lepold to leave the house, he finally came out to the front yard and was detained without incident. During the investigation a search warrant was obtained and the handgun was located in the suspect’s home. Lepold was subsequently placed under arrest for 245 PC, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and 422 PC, Criminal Threats.

Both charges are felonies. Lepold was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail.
