Stabbing in Ventura

On June 18th at 11:38 AM,, the Ventura Police Department Command Center received calls of a fight and a stabbing victim in the alley behind the Bristol Center at Peacock Ave. and Hummingbird Street. Officers arrived and located the victim, who was found to be suffering from several stab wounds to his upper body.
During the investigation, officers learned the victim was walking alone in the area, when he was confronted by two males about 18-20 years old. The subjects, who both had knives, chased the victim on foot through the alley. The victim suffered several lacerations during the altercation, and at least one stab wound to his upper body. The victim was able to escape and run from the suspects. The subjects fled on foot and were last seen running west on Bristol.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Ventura Police Department at 339-4488.
