Two teens arrested for Oak Park burglaries

On January 2, 2018, at approximately 1 a.m., Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 100 block of Conifer Circle for a 911 call of a residential burglary in progress. The victim reported that unknown suspects were attempting to enter his residence through a rear slider door.

Several patrol deputies including a K9 responded to the location and located a male juvenile suspect nearby. In addition, property from another unreported residential burglary was also located. Detectives from the East County Patrol Services Investigations Bureau responded and conducted an investigation. As a result of the investigation, Detectives identified a second male juvenile suspect. Detectives conducted a probation search at this juvenile’s residence and located additional property from another unreported burglary in the neighborhood. Detectives subsequently identified a total of six residences that had been burglarized. All of the burglaries were committed while the homeowners were asleep. Both juveniles, 15 and 16 years old, were lodged into the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center for multiple counts of residential burglary.
