Vagrant arrested in Ventura | Suspected of Vehicle Burglary

On 4/14/18 at 7:17AM, an alert citizen called the Ventura Police Command Center to report a possible vehicle burglary that had just occurred in the parking lot of 211 E. Santa Clara Street.

The citizen saw David Griffith, 35 years old and a vagrant and another male break the window of a parked vehicle and take items from inside of the vehicle before walking away. There was an officer in the area at the time of the call and he saw Griffith walking nearby. Griffith was positively identified as the suspect and was found to be in possession of property belonging to the victim. A possible second suspect was detained one block away from Griffith, however there was not enough evidence to arrest him for the crime.  

Griffith was arrested for vehicle burglary and was booked at the Ventura County Jail.
