Ventura | Attempted robbery at knifepoint outside of Knights of Columbus

Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release  

On April 13 at 10:18 AM, the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a 911 call from a 54-year-old male reporting he was the victim of an armed robbery that had occurred outside of the Knights of Columbus at 36 Figueroa St. The suspect, who was armed with a knife and brandished it at the victim, was last seen fleeing on foot westbound from the scene.     

Officers responding to the call saw the suspect, later identified as Charlie Fuller, 66 years, Vagrant, and detained him several blocks away.      

During the investigation officers learned that the victim was sitting in his vehicle when Fuller approached him and demanded his wallet. Fuller was armed with a knife and threatened the victim. The victim opened his vehicle door and fled on foot without giving him his wallet.  

The victim was not physically injured as a result of this crime.  

Fuller was arrested and later booked into the Ventura County Jail for attempted robbery.
