    Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Assoc. & County of Ventura to Host ‘Taste of Wellness Fair’

    The Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Association and the County of Ventura Wellness Program are teaming up to host the ‘Taste of Wellness Fair’ on Tuesday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Government Center, 800 S. Victoria Avenue, Lot ‘G’.

    The event will feature a one-day Farmers’ Market, healthy recipes, gardening tips from a master gardener, information on sustainability, giveaways and music!  Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable bags, coolers and cash. 

    “This is a great opportunity for the community to learn about healthy eating and obtain fresh produce while enjoying a fun day,” stated Karen Schott, Operations Manager for the Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Association.

    About the Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Association

    The Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Association serves the community of Ventura with two Markets — Wednesdays at the Pacific View Mall, front west parking lot on Main Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and on Saturdays in Downtown Ventura on the corners of East Santa Clara and Palm Streets from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.  The Thousand Oaks Farmers’ Market is held Thursdays at The Oaks Shopping Center at the east end parking lot, Wilbur Road and Thousand Oaks Boulevard from 1:30 to 6:00 p.m.  Santa Clarita Farmers’ Market is held on Sundays at the College of the Canyons, parking lot 8 on Valencia Boulevard from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
