    Ventura | Man attempts to snatch 12 year old boy

    Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release

    On June 15 at 6:20 PM the 12-year-old male victim was walking alone in the parking lot of the Coastline Bible Church in the 400 block of Mills Rd., near the corner of Dean Dr. and Chapel Dr., when the suspect approached him and attempted to grab him. The victim pushed the suspect away and fled to a nearby friend’s residence, where his parents were called.

    The suspect was last seen leaving westbound through the parking lot in an older model, grey Honda 4-door sedan. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

    The victim was not injured as a result of this incident.

    Suspect: White Male, 40’s, red hair, wearing a green flannel, black pants

    The public is asked if anyone sees the suspect or a vehicle that matches the above description to immediately call the Ventura Police Department Command Center. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Ventura Police Department Detectives at (805) 339-4488.
