Ventura: Stolen Vehicle and Battery Arrest

On July 16th at 6:30PM, the victim was driving north on Seaward Avenue near Alessandro Drive when he observed the two suspects, Timothy and Andrew Clark walking on the west sidewalk. 

The victim noticed one of the suspects was carrying a unique item which he believed had just been stolen from him.   The victim stopped and confronted the suspects who stated they had found the property in the roadway.  The victim realized the property had fallen from his vehicle earlier in the day and demanded it back.  The suspects refused to return the property and a physical altercation ensued.  During the altercation, Andrew Clark jumped into the victim’s vehicle and attempted to drive away.  The victim was able to remove Andrew from the driver’s seat as officers arrived on scene.

Andrew Clark was placed under arrest and booked into the Ventura County Jail for theft of a motor vehicle.  Timothy Clark was issued a citation for battery and was released at the scene. The victim was not injured during the altercation.
