Veterans and Active Military: Calling All Harley-Davidson Fans!

A Desire to Ride + a Harley-Davidson = 1 Very Deserving Veteran or Military Man or Woman

In May 2017, Adam Sandoval and Harley-Davidson awarded San Diego veteran Shane Kruchten a new H-D motorcycle. Shane is one of three Californians out of seven veterans or military men or women in the United States who has had or will have an opportunity to compete for a new Harley!  http://missionthankyou.com/

Sandoval and his chihuahua Scooter began their journey in San Diego and will end it in New York City in time for the Veterans Day Parade when the last of the Harley-Davidson motorcycles will be awarded. The approximate retail value of the award is over $28,000. There are four more motorcycles to be given away. This is NOT a game of chance. The contest requires one to nominate either oneself or some member of the military, “past or present”. For more information about the contest or for the complete rules, click here.

MISSION: “THANK YOU” (from Adam Sandoval)

Scooter and I are hitting the road with Harley-Davidson to honor our veterans with MISSION: “THANK YOU”. Starting today, we’ll ask Americans to nominate members of the military – past or present – who dedicated their life to protecting our freedom. Based on America’s nominations, I’ll make eight stops along my cross country journey to give away new Harley-Davidson motorcycles including Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. MISSION: “THANK YOU” will culminate with a bike being awarded in New York City on Veterans Day prior to the worlds largest Veterans Parade.

Folks can easily nominate a deserving sister, dad, drill sergeant, family friend, neighbor or even themselves by clicking this link – NOMINATE HERE. A panel, including folks from Wounded Warrior Project, veterans working at Harley-Davidson and myself, will select the seven other deserving military members who we will surprise with a new Harley-Davidson motorcycles starting today until Veterans Day in November.

Harley-Davidson and I believe that every American should be able to experience the profound freedom of motorcycle riding, especially those who have risked their lives to protect our freedom. Along with MISSION: “THANK YOU,” Harley-Davidson does a lot to serve our veterans and active duty personnel. Here are a few examples:

  • Harley- Davidson is offering the Harley-Davidson Riding Academy New Rider Course to all current and former U.S. Military personnel and first responders (law enforcement, fire, and EMS) and their spouses for just $99.
  • Free motorcycle storage for deployed military personnel.
  • Operation Extend the Ride extends your factory warranty for the number of days deployed to account for the balance of the remaining warranty period.
