Veterans | Ventura County Invites You to “Stand Down!”

Active Military and Veterans With Homes are also welcome!

Merriam-Webster defines “Stand down” as “…a relaxation of status of a military unit or force from an alert or operational posture”.

To all veterans in our Ventura County neighborhoods and community, we are honored to have you “stand down” at the California Army National Guard Armory on Friday, Saturday, Sunday –  July 27, 28 & 29, 2018. Please, let us serve you!

Note: Veterans who are not homeless as well as active military may attend and access services.    

Free transportation is available. See the schedule below. Gates open at 8:00 a.m on Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28. During that time available services include:

  • Medical
  • Dental
  • Optometry
  • Social services
  • New clothing
  • Haircuts,
  • Showers
  • Employment assistance
  • VA benefits
  • Legal counsel
  • Hot meals
  • …and much more.

Superior court on Friday only, begins at 1:30 p.m.

Sunday | Break camp and prepare to leave at 11:30 a.m.

FREE Transportation Schedule to the Ventura County “Stand Down 2018”.

On SUNDAY, July 29 at 11:30 AM free transportation will be provided from the Ventura County Armory to all of the locations below. Everyone will be returned to his or her original pick-up location.
