Ventura, CA – The Ventura Art and Street Painting Festival hosted its 12th annual event on September 11-12thwith a highly successful attendance. Festival-goers, who were encouraged to wear masks, were able to spend the weekend at Ventura Harbor Village taking in beautiful marina front views and various vendor booths filled with fine art, professional photography, unique jewelry, and handmade crafts. A crowd favorite, 29 professional street artists filled the area with vibrant original works. Children were also encouraged to try their hand at their own creations, resulting in a collaborative and creative experience.
This year’s event was made possible in part due to generous lead sponsor RH Wealth Advisors, Inc. and many chalk art sponsors, volunteers, and contributors. A portion of proceeds will be donated to FOOD share of Ventura County, and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Ventura who organized an engaging children’s chalk area.
“It’s such an honor to see guests come to our event and enjoy the stunning street paintings and fine artist’s booths,” said Barbara Hinton, Ventura Art and Street Painting Festival Executive Director. “While it’s always fantastic to see new faces and hear the excitement of first-time attendees, it’s heartwarming to also see returning guests that continue to come back, year after year,” she added. Attendees varied from locals, including frequent Harbor Village visitors, to residents from throughout the region.
“Ventura Harbor Village is once again thrilled at the success, as well as the beauty of art presented and created at the Ventura Art & Street Painting Festival,” said Jennifer Talt-Lundin, Ventura Harbor Marketing Manager. “We look forward to hosting again in 2022 to help support local organizations and highlight these truly talented artisans. Special thanks to Barbara Hinton and Ventura County Art Events, Inc. for their dedication to the arts and the Ventura community.”
For those who were unable to attend, the chalk art remains visible for as long as the weather allows. The Ventura Art and Street Festival will return Fall of 2022. For up-to-date information, visit: www.venturaartfestival.com or follow on Instagram @venturaartandstpainting.
