On May 5, 2019, the Camarillo-Somis Pleasant Valley Lions Club will hold the 19th Annual 5K Run, Cub Run and 1-Mile Peel Out (14 & under only) at the Camarillo Ranch. The event is for runners and/or walkers. Proceeds will benefit Pleasant Valley School District.
The 5K will begin at 8:00 a.m., Cub Run will begin at 9:00 am and the 1-mile Peel Out (14 & under only) will begin at 9:30 am. The event features a flat fast 5K course.
The Cub Run is for all ages up to 10 years of age. Parents are invited to run or walk with their children.
Everyone pre-registered in the 5K or Cub Run will receive an event T-shirt and a goody bag. Plus, all children participating in the Cub Run under 10 years of age will also receive a commemorative medal.
If you haven’t yet registered for the 5K, Cub Run or 1-Mile you can do so the day of the event, beginning at 7:00 a.m. Registration for the 5K is $40, the Cub Run is $20 and the 1-Mile Peel-Out is free. Please visit www.bananaramarun.com to pre-register.
The Camarillo Ranch is located at 201 Camarillo Ranch Road. From the northbound Ventura (101) freeway, exit at Flynn Road; turn right immediately on Mission Oaks Blvd., then proceed past Camarillo Ranch Road to the next left, turn into the lot just east of the Ranch for parking. From the southbound (101), exit at Dawson Drive; turn right at the bottom of the off-ramp on to Petit Street, then turn right on Dawson. Dawson Drive will go back under the freeway, and then segue into Mission Oaks Blvd. Take Mission Oaks down to the parking area just past the Ranch.
