This past week, 25 firefighter trainees received badges, marking the end of an intensive 19- week academy. As part of graduation activities, the 56th academy hosted a public demonstration on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Regional Training Center, located on the grounds of the Camarillo Airport at 104 E. Durley Ave.
Recruits showcased some of the skills learned in the academy in front of an audience of dignitaries, firefighters, friends and family. Live demonstrations included a simulated three-story structure fire, ladder evolutions, patient extrication from a simulated vehicle accident and more.
Ventura County Fire welcomed 21 new firefighters and four recruits will join the City of Ventura Fire Department.
