JEFF BURUM ENTERS RACE FOR VENTURA COUNTY SUPERVISOR
Desert Storm Combat Officer Veteran & Chief Financial Officer in Private Business Pledges to Move Region Forward
“There’s no better way to help than to join with so many people in the community and accept to undertake this task and work together to turn challenges into opportunities,” said Burum. “For several months I have been meeting and listening to folks from different walks of life, backgrounds and political views. What we’re discovering is that we all share a deep love for this beautiful region and want to see it move forward responsibly,” he added.
Burum said his major priorities include helping to create well-paying jobs by working with business and labor, supporting law enforcement with the necessary resources to improve public safety, greater government transparency with all sectors of the community included on important issues and protecting the region’s environment that impacts quality of life in Ventura County.
“We’re united and focused on what we can each contribute to address our needs today and make sure that the legacy for future generations is one we will be proud of for our children and their children,” says Burum. “I am not a career politician and I see the price Oxnard is paying because of years of poor leadership that now expects to get promoted! That’s just wrong. The people of this community and the County of Ventura deserve better than empty promises, deficits and taxes. I trust the voters will see the clear difference,” he concluded.
