Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On November 23rd at 11:44 PM the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a call from the medical staff at Community Memorial Hospital reporting that a stabbing victim had come into the ER for treatment. Due to his injuries, the victim was later transported to VCMC for treatment of his injuries. Officers responded and contacted the 26-year-old male victim who was suffering from non-life threatening injuries to his mid-torso.
The victim reported that approximately 20 minutes prior to arriving at the hospital he was near in the 100 block of E. Center St., when he was confronted by several subjects. The victim said for unknown reasons he was physically attacked by the subjects, at which time he was stabbed. The subjects fled the area on foot after the stabbing.
Officers responded to the area and were not able to locate the suspects described as Hispanics males between the ages of 18 to 24 years old. The crime scene was located.
