Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release
On Tuesday, March 25, 2020 at approximately 4:51 PM officers responded to a apartment in the 300 block of N. 12th Street in an attempt to locate a missing female juvenile. Upon arrival one 15 year old male juvenile fled the residence. The male juvenile was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. A search of the apartment was conducted and the missing female juvenile was located along with 3 other subjects. During the search of the residence and subjects the following items were located: a loaded .22 caliber rifle with the stock cut off, a methamphetamine pipe, methamphetamine, and gang paraphernalia. All 5 subjects were taken into custody. The four juveniles were transported to juvenile hall for booking and Castillo was cited and released. The following subjects were charged with the listed crimes:
17 year old male juvenile – possession of a firearm, minor in possession of ammunition, participation in a street gang
13 year old male juvenile – possession of a firearm, minor in possession of ammunition, possession of methamphetamine, and participation in a street gang
15 year old male juvenile – possession of a firearm, minor in possession of ammunition, obstructing a police officer, participation in a street gang
15 year old female juvenile – possession of a firearm, minor in possession of ammunition, possession of a methamphetamine pipe, incorrigible youth, participation in a street gang
