Daniel Louis Fuller (2/19/84), a transient from Ventura, pled guilty to the crime of involuntary manslaughter by an unlawful act for the death of Jeffrey Kibler (10/14/64), of Ventura, which occurred on September 11, 2018. Fuller and Kibler were both inmates, housed in the same quad, at the Ventura County jail when this incident occurred. Fuller wanted Kibler to leave the quad. When Kibler refused to leave, Fuller punched Kibler one time in the face and dragged him to the main quad door. Kibler died several hours later due to a ruptured spleen.
Fuller will be sentenced on December 10, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Fuller faces a maximum sentence of eight years in state prison. He is being held in the Ventura County jail with bail set at $2 million.
