Pacific Legal Foundation invites you to join us for an inside look at the ongoing battles to restore the proper balance of power in Kentucky.
Reining in Emergency Powers
May 20, 2021
Virtual via Zoom
1:00 p.m. EDT / 10:00 a.m. PDT
COVID fatigue is no cliché when you consider how long some governors have unlawfully clung to their emergency powers under cover of protecting public health.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, for one, continues to enforce his unilateral, arbitrary pandemic-driven orders after more than a year, despite new laws that specifically limit his powers.
In fact, Gov. Beshear’s orders have expired under the new law, but his demand for compliance has not. It’s gotten to the point that local businessowners who are still stuck in a never-ending struggle to keep up with ever-changing restrictions are fighting back.
You’re invited to join Pacific Legal Foundation and the Pegasus Institute on May 20 for a breakdown of the Bluegrass State’s battle to restore the constitutional separation of powers and the rule of law.
Featuring:
Josh Crawford, Pegasus Institute
Oliver Dunford, Pacific Legal Foundation
Ted Mitzlaff, Goodwood Brewing and Spirits
Senator Whitney Westerfield, Kentucky General Assembly
