Looking to give back to your community?  Not sure which organizations have volunteer opportunities?  Start your search at the City of Simi Valley’s Sixth Annual Volunteer Fair.

This fair, hosted by the Youth Employment Service (YES) Advisory Board and Boys and Girls Club of Moorpark and Simi Valley is intended for community members of all ages, will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Moorpark and Simi Valley at their Simi Valley location. Attend and learn how you can make a difference. For more information, contact Kristin Tignac with the City of Simi Valley at [email protected].

Attendees will meet representatives from nonprofit organizations, learn about their missions, and discuss volunteer opportunities.  Come and find an organization that fights for a cause you believe in or network with others who have a passion for serving the community.  Students can receive up to one and a half hours of community service by attending the event, as many nonprofits will be coordinating onsite service projects.

As of October 17, 2023, the following organizations are confirmed to participate:

    BRITE Youth

Boys and Girls Club of Moorpark and Simi Valley

Volunteering provides benefits for both the community and the individual.  The community benefits from the service of volunteers, while the individual gains meaningful experience, connects with the community, and achieves a sense of accomplishment by making an impact.  Youth volunteers especially benefit from volunteering by gaining job experience, learning new skills, and accumulating volunteer service hours.

Nonprofit organizations interested in participating in the Volunteer Fair should email [email protected] to reserve a free space.
