Felting Bowls (Ages 16+)

Felting Bowls is back! Felting is an ancient form of working with fiber to create fabrics, vessels, and decorative objects. On Wednesday November 8th, 2023, join teaching artist Andi Meyer inside SPAM’s Cole Creativity Center from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and learn to use wool, soap, hot water, and a little friction to create your own felt vessel. Learn resist techniques to shape wool into a firm structure full of color and texture.

This class is appropriate for everyone ages 16 and over. This class will meet on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The cost of the class is $40.00 per person. All skill levels are welcome and all supplies are provided. Preregistration is required.

About Our Teaching Artist:

Andi Meyer has been creating art for over 25 years. Her work consists primarily of 3D fiber artwork, such as spinning yarn, felting, crocheting, knitting, and weaving. Mom to an eight-year-old artist (and several fur babies), Andi works as a special education teacher. Although she has received a BA in Art & Psychology and her MA in Education, her love for learning new techniques and skills has never faded away.
