Dear Friend
What a whirlwind of a year – time has both flown and seemed to stand still, it feels like I’ve been at Casa Pacifica much longer than a year, but in the best way. As we start our new fiscal year, we are not only planning for the future but celebrating what we’ve accomplished.
In the past year, the demand for Casa Pacifica’s services has only increased:
- 19% increase in referrals for our campus’ residential programs
- 55% increase in referrals for our community-based programs
Thanks to the commitment of our staff, we continued providing services and meeting the needs of children and families throughout the pandemic. A few examples of our staff adapting and going above and beyond:
- Our music teachers have met students at the park to continue music lessons
- Clinicians converted to telehealth sessions to keep families involved in their child’s treatment
The recreation therapy team created additional activities when off-campus outings were cancelled during quarantine.
- 90% of youth discharged from residential programs moved to lower levels of care
- 87% of children and youth across all programs successfully met their treatment goals
Your support meant we didn’t miss a single day of service during the pandemic and were able to continue providing life-saving services for those in need.
I look forward to meeting more of you in person as our campus opens back up and things return to normal. I hope we can continue to count you as our partner in pursuing our mission of restoring hope, enhancing resilience, and strengthening community connections for children, young adults, and families at the most challenging times of their lives.
Much love,
Shawna Morris, MPA
