Camarillo, Calif.(August 30, 2021)–LightGabler attorney Chandra Beaton was one of six professionals honored as a Valued Mentor of 2021 by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. The honorees were announced at an August 19 event.
The award was created last year to honor executives who mentor others in their profession and help ready the next generation of leaders; an effort made even more critical during COVID when opportunities for professional development became more challenging.
“Chandra is a mentor to everyone in the firm, including training our more junior and newly hired attorneys,” says Jody Toerner, LightGabler’s Executive Director. “I know I can count on her for a sound ear and competent advice.”
Elizabeth Harrier, an associate attorney at LightGabler, says, “Chandra has selflessly taken me under her wing and provided me with a safe place to excel. She makes her colleague’s career growth as much of a priority as her own.”
Beaton practices employment litigation on behalf of employers and managers. She has extensive civil litigation experience in both state and federal courts.
“Being new to my position as a legal secretary/paralegal and about to start law school to become an attorney one day, Chandra has personally helped me in many ways,” says Adriana Diaz. “She is extremely team-oriented and ensures that everyone feels equally important to the success of any task.”
