Camarillo, California – The City of Camarillo invites the community to attend a Volunteers Open House on Wednesday, May 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Camarillo Public Library.
Community members are invited to learn about the numerous opportunities to volunteer with emergency preparedness and response groups in the area. Representatives from the following organizations will be at the event to share their mission and current volunteer opportunities:
- Camarillo Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
- Police/Sheriff’s Department Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART)
- Police Citizen Patrol
- KID Print (child fingerprinting)
- Ventura County Fire Department
- Ventura County Animal Services
- Ventura County Public Health/Emergency Medical Services (Medical Reserve Corps)
- Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD)
- Red Cross
- Food Share
- Habitat for Humanity
- United Way
Stop by anytime between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and visit with the groups of your choice. Light refreshments will be served.
