Agoura, CA – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley (BGCGCV) is pleased to announce a new member to its Board of Governors, Steve Mosko.
Mosko is Chief Executive Officer of Village Roadshow Entertainment Group (VREG), one of the world’s leading global entertainment content companies. VREG produces content across film, television and digital platforms.
Prior to joining VREG, Mosko spent 24 years at Sony Pictures Entertainment with 16 of those running global television where he rebuilt the business from obscurity into one of the world’s leading producers of content and distribution. Before joining Sony Pictures, Mosko was Sales Manager of NBC affiliate WMAR-TV in Baltimore in addition to serving as General Sales Manager of WTAF-TV and Vice President and Station Manager of WPHL-TV in Philadelphia.
Under his watch, several shows including “Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul,” “Damages,” “The Shield,” and “Rescue Me” were developed and produced for cable, while “The Crown,” “Bloodline,” and “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” found audiences on major streaming platforms.
Mosko, along with his team, also produced a myriad of shows for television and syndication including “The Blacklist,” “The Goldbergs,” and “Shark Tank,” plus the syndicated juggernauts, “Wheel of Fortune,” “Jeopardy,” and “Dr. Oz.”
A graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Mosko was recognized in 1995 by his alma mater with their Presidential Achievement Award and received an honorary Doctorate from the college this past spring. In 2011, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Chapman University.
An active supporter of emerging talent and education, Mosko currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Loyola Marymount University. In addition, he has contributed to many associations within the TV & film industries as well as to nonprofit organizations.
