    Incident: Brandishing an Imitation Firearm and Trespassing Arrest

    Location: 2400 Block of Alameda Ave.

    Date/Time Occurred: 10/14/21 @ 0758 hours

    Officer(s) Involved: VPD Patrol, School Resource Officers, and Detectives

    Suspect(s): Shandrica Ellis 6/1/88, Vagrant

    Narrative:

    On the above date and time, Ventura Police received multiple calls regarding a female vagrant brandishing a rifle in the 2400 Block of Alameda Avenue. The Police Department immediately dispatched several officers to the area and contacted Montalvo Elementary School to place students in lock-down for their safety. School Resource officers were also sent to the school as an additional safety precaution.

    Officers located the suspect walking in the 2400 Block of Alameda Avenue, and she appeared to be armed with a rifle. She was contacted and detained. It was determined the suspected firearm was a pellet gun. The suspect, later identified as Shandrica Ellis, was placed under arrested for Brandishing an Imitation Firearm and for trespassing on a resident’s property. Ellis was booked in Ventura County Jail. No one was injured as a result of this incident.
