Camarillo, California – Southern California Edison (SCE) is planning a temporary closure of Pleasant Valley Road from 11:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14 until 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15.
At the public meeting of May 8, 2019, the Camarillo City Council authorized a temporary nighttime closure of Pleasant Valley Road for a one-time, four hour maximum block of time for the replacement of two Southern California Edison (SCE) transmission poles located on Pleasant Valley Road, just east of Las Posas Road.
SCE is requesting the authorization of a full road closure in order to remove and replace two deteriorated transmission poles located on the south side of Pleasant Valley Road, east of Las Posas Road. Due to the location of the two large poles being within 50 feet of the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and Las Posas Road, and the existing drainage ditches on both sides of the road, a full road closure is needed to set up a crane to replace the two poles. Preparatory work will occur before the crane is set and SCE will limit the closure time to the four-hour maximum by not closing the road until absolutely necessary.
Through traffic will be detoured onto Fifth Street and local Pleasant Valley Road traffic will have access from the east.
At what time does the closure begin
City Hall would most likely know. (805) 388-5300
