I received a large political postcard that looked like it was from CamarilloUnited.com. The card encourages voters to vote for a slate of three new candidates (not the incumbents) to the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District Board. If you look closely at the small print, it was paid for and sent out by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), which happens to represent the employees.
Paying for printing and postage for those cards is a huge donation for those candidates. If you plan to vote for this slate, I hope you realize that it would form a majority of the 5-member board. If the slate is elected, the union have control of the Board and will be negotiating with itself when it comes time to talk about pay raises and benefits.
