CAMARILLO, CALIF –– The Camarillo Hotel And Tourism Association (CHTA), known as Visit Camarillo, and the Commemorative Air Force SoCal Wing (CAF) have teamed up in effort to deliver a vintage WWII aircraft flyover during the Dallas Cowboys training camp opening ceremony. Taking place July 27th, the air will be filled with an unparalleled energy, excited cheers, and a B-25 Mitchell Bomber accompanied by two fighter jets, as they fly over the crowd in salute to America’s team.
This new demonstration is one part of many thrilling enhancements taking place at this year’s NFL training camp. As a partner of the Ventura County Lodging Association, Visit Camarillo recognized the importance of enhancing the fan experience as the event draws national attention and has positive impact on neighboring cities’ lodging industries. Visit Camarillo is excited to welcome Cowboy fans and bring awareness of local events, attractions and activities.
Visit Camarillo found the perfect partner for their grand approach in the Commemorative Air Force SoCal Wing, a volunteer organization dedicated to preserving vintage WWII aircraft, located at the Camarillo Airport.
“I could not imagine a more patriotic demonstration than using this aircraft as it flies over a crowd of roaring fans cheering for America’s team.” said CHTA Executive Director, Yuliana Gonzalez.
In promotion of the first-time flyover, Visit Camarillo is currently running a Flyover Experience Sweepstakes. By entering the sweepstakes you have the chance to win seats for two aboard the B-25 Mitchell Bomber flyover, two tickets for a day at the Cowboys Camp, a two night hotel stay, gift cards to the Camarillo Premium Outlets and more!
