MAP is excited to announce their Inaugural Fundraising Event – Celebrating Our Heroes…All the Way Home. MAP is an ALL VOLUNTEER Ventura County organization with 100% of donations going directly to it’s veteran programs.
Imagine…
Combat veteran, Allen, lays in bed unable to start his day. He is stuck in his past due to a sleepless night full of bad dreams that he just can’t get out of his head.
As depression sets in, his dog Jetstar, approaches and puts her cold wet nose on his cheek as if to say – “Hey remember me. You know what, I have to pee! Besides it’s morning and I’m hungry, and weren’t we going to go for a walk and play ball?”
Allen rises leaving his past in the bed as he tends to the needs of Jetstar. He takes that very hard first step to begin his day. With his trusty friend Jetstar at his side, he faces the ever present demons of war that hinder his transformation to civilian life.
These are the amazing Therapy, Emotional Support and Psychiatric Service K-9’s of MAP. Since 2014, MAP, formerly Pets for Vets Ventura County ((PFV-VVC), has been offering healing/therapeutic animal programs AT NO COST to our local brave men and women. Through the use of professionally trained dogs and horses, MAP provides our veterans a means to heal with the comfort, support, and companionship of these wonderful animals. In order to continue these services, MAP is asking you to consider a Sponsorship for our upcoming Fundraising Event. With the various Sponsorship levels offered, there is an opportunity for everyone to participate!
With your tax deductible donation, MAP will be able to continue to provide these much needed services! Will you please consider becoming a Sponsor and help our local Veterans heal from the invisible wounds of war?
