With the Annual Parade of Lights cancelled, for COVID-19 (yes, really), some locals decided to do their own mostly small boat holiday parade on Saturday Night, December 12. Many homes are beautifully decorated as well. Just a few samples here ….

Gorgeous. Looks so elegant. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Wow, looks like fun… except most of us are so bored, isolated and depression is beginning to loom, of course we will come! Hey, it’s being ADVERTISED as a seemly safe event. My personal thought is a lot of people will show up with their kids (whom I may add are most likely wondering what the heck is going on, this year has been so UNFUN.. I can’t even go to school?) Desperate parents looking for safe places to go, this is great! Tons of people will gather at the pier and two weeks later, “BOOM”who know the consequences? I want to come, I do. I’m thankful my kids are adults. I just can’t risk the health of my elderly parents or mine. Maybe a “word of mouth” type of invite would have been better. But what do I know and who am I to judge? Just saying.
