Camarillo, California – At the Camarillo City Council meeting on October 9, 2019, the City Council will consider a contract with Command Performance to serve as the new event services manager for the Camarillo Ranch, beginning November 1, 2019.
Based on the proposal submitted by Command Performance, the City expects to be able to adequately fund maintenance and operations and provide funding for future capital improvements.
On June 26, 2019, the City of Camarillo issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking proposals for wedding and special event management services for the Camarillo Ranch. The City received five proposals. A team of City staff ranked all five proposals on a point system and determined that four of the proposals qualified for an interview. The Camarillo Ranch Ad Hoc Committee interviewed four companies and, based on qualifications demonstrated in the proposal and the interview, the committee chose Command Performance.
City staff will present a contract with Command Performance to the City Council at their meeting of October 9, 2019, in the Camarillo City Hall Council Chambers located at 601 Carmen Drive, Camarillo 93010.
At their next meeting, on October 23, 2019, the Camarillo City Council will consider a proposed lease agreement with the Camarillo Ranch Foundation, and the establishment of a new budget and enterprise fund for Camarillo Ranch operations.
The Camarillo Ranch Foundation will continue to sponsor community events, and will continue the docent and volunteer programs, such as tours and other community and educational enrichment activities, that support the Foundation’s mission.
