Ventura, Calif. — Community members, local businesses, and community groups are invited to participate in the first virtual General Plan Community Workshop on Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The workshop will be hosted online via Zoom and will feature live Spanish interpretation. Registration is required to participate during the workshop. To register, visit www.planventura.com/workshops.
“We are looking forward to the first chance to connect with our community directly about the General Plan Update,” said Community Development Director Peter Gilli. “This process is a multi-year effort that creates a blueprint for the growth of our City, so we encourage open dialogues about housing, land use, climate change, transportation, public safety, and more.”
The General Plan Community Workshop is part of a robust community engagement plan and provides the opportunity for the public to learn more about the General Plan Update process, learn about existing conditions within the City, and an opportunity to share visions, values, and goals for the next 20-30 years.
Launched in November 2020, the General Plan Update seeks to foster community input and involvement throughout the process. Additional participation opportunities include upcoming surveys, workshops, pop-up events, educational forums, and more.
