Good afternoon, There are 180 new cases today based off data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday (12 (6.7%) of which have a lab collection from October 26 or earlier), 2,688 additional people tested, and 1 additional death (87 year old male with comorbidites). Current doubling time is 187.9 days. Currently, there are 27 people hospitalized with COVID-19 and 5 of those patients are receiving care in the ICU.

The State of California monitoring metrics are updated every Tuesday. The current data published as of October 27 is 4.9 (Red Tier) for the case rate and 2.6% (Orange Tier) for the positivity rate for the measurement period ending October 17.
