    Cronies Agoura Hills Stood Up, And The City of Agoura Hills Is Trying To Put Them In Their Place

    The title may seem harsh, but it’s actually pretty accurate. Even though there are Councilmembers on the Agoura Hills City Council who are trying to help the citizens of their city get back to a normal, post lockdown life, there are others who still want businesses and citizens to feel the pain.

    The City of Agoura Hills has brought a criminal lawsuit against Cronies Agoura Hills for staying open during the lockdown. Cronies made a decision for their employees and their community to reopen, according to one of the owners who spoke at the City Council meeting last night.

    They opened their restaurant at 5687 Kanan Road, Agoura Hills CA and their customers came to support their decision. Their website can be found here

    Supporters of Cronies filled the seats of the Agoura Hills Council Chamber on Wednesday night to express their displeasure about the city’s action against Cronies. Public support for CroniesIf you are looking for people to feel the burn, don’t look toward your government employees“, a speaker at the City Council meeting pointed out. “City employees can’t empathize with the pain of businesses and unemployment, because that wasn’t their experience.

    They felt no pain, while saying “We are all in this together” on their government websites, said another speaker. A child of 12, through her mother’s reading of her message to the City Council, asked why they want to put parents in jail for feeding their families, and allowing their employees to feed theirs?

    We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” was read by a number of speakers, and the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance shook the building at the beginning of the government meeting.

    The citizens in the audience were respectful, but defiant. When asked by the Mayor to raise their hands in solidarity after each speaker, they clapped harder. The comments focused on the wrongful labeling of local business owners who are called criminals by the City of Agoura Hills, while many in the community believe the owners of Cronies are heroes.

    Many said over and over when they got to the microphone they had enough of the oppression. Many who came to the microphone were naturalized citizens who have older family members who experienced this sort of government in countries they escaped. As one immigrant said, “Bless my father’s soul. If he saw what is happening in Agoura Hills now, it would be beyond belief.

    Packed Agoura Hills CouncilThe audience was also very well organized. A petition to recall Linda Parks floated through the room while speakers were at the podium. Signs that read “Another Progressive City Council that wants to seize power” and “Stop being a bully to Cronies!” popped up every time the camera clicked on for a shot from the right of the dais.

    One speaker used her time to run through websites like CSPOA.org here and NaturalNews for three minutes. 

    Ronda Kennedy is representing Cronies in the criminal action against them, and she stated that she hopes the city reaches a decision to drop this lawsuit, but she is ready to defend her clients, and to press forward and sue the City as well when her clients are ready. A video of her comments can be viewed here Ms. Kennedy may be referring to a legislative taken under the Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution governments are required to pay just compensation for such takings. The amendment is incorporated to the states via the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.

    Dave Foldes, one of the Founders of Cronies said it best during his three minutes. He loves the Cronies family and his customers and the community and he and his team are working with the Health Department and making progress. When the city came along and filed these charges, it really damaged the progress they were making with the Health Department. He asked the City of Agoura Hills to stand down, and let the Health Department negotiations be resolved, and we can deal with the city later.

    Even in the face of an oppressive City government, Dave Foldes wants to make peace. You can find his comments near the beginning of public comments here at time mark 36:30. The City of Agoura Hills has already cancelled their next City Council meetings scheduled for August 28 2021 and it looks like they are gearing up to drop back into a Zoom format in the next few weeks.

    I’ll bet Cronies, and maybe much of Agoura, wish they weren’t in Los Angeles County right now.

    What a load of malarkey. They broke the law. They had pro-Trump rallies with HUGE “F*CK BIDEN” signs, and some Trump merchandise from a booth set up in front of their store. And now they want to cry about how all they were doing was trying to feed their families, wah wah. It was a political statement from day one and now they’re sad they lost. Well, the losing has just begun.

    WELL, I guess this would have been excused if Trump had won the election and Cronies was upset over it? Maybe GB would be defending Cronies for reversing the signs and there would be every effort to generate funds under signs of “SAVE CRONIES”

    This “article” reads like it was written by a child, and the viewpoint is similarly childish. Keeping these types of businesses open in the middle of a raging pandemic led to the multiple waves we went through. It’s hilarious that the “law and order!!!” party loves law and order until the law affects them. It’s not a matter of “fReEdUM!!!!”, it’s a matter of public safety.
