SUBJECT: Documented Gang Member Arrested for Firearm Possession

On January 12, 2022 at approximately 9:40 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a suspected traffic infraction. Officers contacted the occupants and immediately identified one of the passengers as Randall Ibarra, a documented Oxnard criminal street gang member. During the officers’ interaction with Ibarra, he admitted that he was in possession of a loaded handgun. Officers recovered a loaded black semi-automatic handgun from Ibarra. Ibarra was arrested for possessing a handgun that was not registered to him, a felony.
