Six Cited at Camarillo DUI/Driver License Checkpoint
Camarillo, CA. –Six drivers were cited for various violations while conducting a DUI/Driver License checkpoint on July 9th, 2021. The checkpoint was held on Arneill Road, north of Ponderosa Drive from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00a.m.
Four drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, 594 drivers were contacted, no drivers were arrested for DUI and no vehicles were towed.
Checkpoint locations are based on a history of crashes and DUI arrests. The primary purpose of checkpoints is not to make arrests, but to promote public safety by deterring drivers from driving impaired.
The Camarillo Police Department is committed to keeping the public safe when they are traveling.
