Ojai Valley Rides Inc. will hold their 14th Annual Ojai Valley Century on June 2, 2018. Cyclists from all over Southern California will converge in Ojai for the ride which rolls through the beautiful Ojai Valley, Rose Valley, and Lake Casitas and up our spectacular coast to Carpinteria and Montecito. The ride is open to the public and begins and ends in Ojai. We are very excited to have a new start location at Topa Topa Winery. Cyclists have several route options including a Full Century, Half Metric, Double Metric, Metric and Hammerhead Century Routes.
The Ojai Valley Century started in 2004 and has grown steadily over the last 14 years. In 2006 sponsorship of the ride was turned over to local Boy Scout Troops and the committee became incorporated as a non-profit. The majority of the over 100 volunteers at the rest stops are scouts and their families and all of the profits from the ride are donated to local Boy Scout troops to be used for outings and to support families that need financial assistance. Every year cyclists comment on the beauty of the ride and on the impeccable service they get from our volunteers.
Cyclists can register through the website at OjaiValleyCentury.org. Walk-In registrations will be accepted if the 800 rider limit is not met before the day of the race. Online registration is $90 and walk-in registration is $100. Registration fee includes mid-ride sandwich lunch, post-ride BBQ, a bib number, route slip, seven rest stops, SAG support, popsicles and first class support from over 100 volunteers.
