    Totally Local VC announces its Third annual Taste of Local Farm to Fork Festival coming up on Sept 24th at the historic Olivas Adobe in Ventura California

     More Food! More Fun! And More to Local then Ever! The 3rd annual Taste of Local Event

     What better way to learn about local food than to experience it firsthand?

    The Third Annual Taste of Local is about bringing together farmers, chefs, purveyors and community to celebrate our local harvest and the diversity of great food we have right here in Ventura County. This is field to fork at its very best. Over 66 area chefs, wineries brewers, farmers and purveyors are expected to showcase their expertise during the 3rd Annual Taste of Local Event.

    Don’t Miss the Homebrew Challenge

    The Taste of Local is once again partnering up with VIBE to showcase “the Local Home Brew Challenge”. Guests will vote for there favorite as Local brewers compete for top awards for the best home brews in the county.

    New this Year the Farm to Glass Mixology Throwdown

    Don’t just eat your fruits and veggies. Drink them

    Competing Ventura County distillers will craft drinks from local grown ingredients. Attendees will sip (sample size) cocktails made from local farm-­‐fresh ingredients and vote for their favorite.

    Celebrating our Local Farmers & Ranchers

    Ventura County Agriculture Helps to Feed our Community and the World.

    Ventura County is known as one of the top agricultural producers in the world and that translates into one of the best cuisine scenes that Californian has to offer.

    Locally grown, locally produced and locally owned are some of the key ingredients in this years Taste of Local event.

    Guests will be able to meet and chat with chefs, farmers and purveyors as they taste and learn about the bounty that is Ventura County.

    Yes we have added some new additions to this as well!

    Guests will enjoy the locally grown strawberry short cake bar. Sponsored by the California Strawberry commission, Limoneira lemonade stand and our locally sourced grazing station.

    Music to your Pallet

    Taste, sample and sit back and enjoy the sounds of Local Musicians The Dan Grimm band, Bryan C Titus. Special guest to be announced.

    Last years event saw over 6o vendors and 1,200 guests at this sell out event.

    All this and it gives back. Proceeds from the event will benefit Totally Local VC’s Agricultural Education Foundation. And Project Understanding.

    Over the past 8 years Totally Local VC has worked as an advisor for agriculture and culinary arts programs both at a high school and college levels. 2016 brought the beginning of the Totally Local VC Agricultural and Culinary Mentorship & Internship Programs. Together with area chefs and farmers we have laid the foundation to help empower students in taking the next step in their journeys to achieve their educational and professional goals.

    Proceeds will also go to Project Understanding

    Project Understanding provides hope by developing and directing resources for the purpose of transforming lives and community through justice, mercy and compassion.
