The Oxnard Public Library has another program geared towards adults coming up soon in March which I would like to bring to your attention:
Wednesday, March 30, 2:30 – 4:40 p.m.
In honor of Cesar Chavez’ birthday, the Oxnard Public Library will show a PG-13 feature film about the famed civil rights leader who organized protests and boycotts to secure better wages and working conditions for farm workers. He attracted the attention and cooperation of people from all walks of life in the U.S. and Europe. His accomplishments are a testament to the power of one individual to make a difference. Cesar Chavez has a special connection to Ventura County because he lived in Oxnard as a child and returned as an adult to help the local farm workers.
It will be in Meeting Room B of the Oxnard Main Library
at 251 South A Street, Oxnard, CA 93030.
