The Ventura Count Military Collaborative, VCMilC, offers a free Legal Clinic to all military and veterans. Appointments are made for 30-minute consultations to provide education and resources. The attorneys and staff do not work for VCMilC, instead they graciously donate their time at the clinic as volunteers. The attorneys are unable to represent a person in court but that person can get advice on and suggestions on how best to handle a legal situation. The Legal Clinic assists with:
DUI’s, Family Law, Credit Issues, Bankruptcy, Wills and Trusts, Child Support, Discharge Upgrades, Landlord Tenant, Power of Attorney, Education/Special need, Divorce and Workers Compensation.
In addition VCMilC provides information and have representatives from:
County Veteran Services Office: VA enrollment, Rating appeals/upgrades, Discharge Upgrades, as well as state and federal benefits.
Child Support: To assist with all issues and questions in regards to this issue.
Homeless Outreach for Veterans: To provide information on immediate housing assistance.
