Back by popular demand, the Health & Healing Expo of Thousand Oaks will showcase wellness resources from the Conejo Valley area and surrounding communities
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – After a successful first showcase, the Health & Healing Expo of Thousand Oaks returns on Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn.
The Health & Healing Expo’s mission is to empower people to embrace healthier lives by exposing its visitors to a wealth of knowledge to explore the benefits of the connection between mind, body and spirit. This interactive event connects local suppliers and experts in the health, healing and holistic spaces with individuals seeking to achieve more balanced lifestyles.
“We are excited to bring the Health & Healing Expo back to the community after a positive outcome from attendees at our inaugural event in June 2018,” said Claudia Borges, event founder and producer. “We hope to further expand the awareness of the expo in order to educate the community of their local holistic options.”
With a background in event management, Borges dedicates her time to educate the public in the holistic and energy healing systems by promoting wellness events in the Ventura County area, and is actively involved with the local holistic community as the Senior Vice President of the Holistic Chamber of Commerce’s Thousand Oaks chapter.
This October’s Health & Healing Expo will include workshops featuring speakers from within the community. Some topics of discussion will include afterlife communication from orb photographer, medium and author Nancy J. Myers, an introduction to Bach flower remedies from Christie Batt, M.A., and an exploration of how mental health can influence parenting skills from licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Marcela Rondani.
The Expo has also now partnered with Many Mansions, a nonprofit organization based in Thousand Oaks that provides quality affordable housing for low income individuals and families in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties. Visitors and workshop attendees will be able to donate household items such as soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, non-toxic cleaning supplies and healthy non-perishable foods to support Many Mansion’s outreach initiatives.
Admission to the Expo is free which allows access to all workshops and the exhibit hall where guests can meet the vendors. Visitors interested in psychic readings will be able to book 15-minute sessions for $30 each, subject to availability.
