The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station will be hosting a National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 24, 2020, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Community members are urged to drop off unwanted medications* at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station during the take back event. This free service allows the public to discard prescription medications anonymously as well as address a vital public health and safety issue. Over-the-counter medications will be accepted for disposal as well. *Please note, this take back event will not accept liquids.*

Bringing expired or unwanted prescription drugs to the collection site eliminates the potential for misuse, abuse or accidental poisoning. Improper disposal of medications, such as flushing them down a toilet or throwing them in the trash, can be hazardous to public safety, public health and the environment.

For other locations and times visit the DEA’s Drug Take Back Day Location Portal.
