Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day is observed in the United States on the last Sunday of September each year. The U.S. Congress recognizes this as the day when America honors surviving parents and families of fallen service members — specifically those who died while on active-duty.
To honor our nation’s fallen and to ensure they are never forgotten, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum will be offering free admission to Gold Star Families on Sunday, September 30, 2018.
The Reagan Library is also currently constructing a new Gold Star Families Memorial Monument (GSFMM) honoring the families of servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives while serving in the military. The Gold Star Families Memorial Monument will open to the public on November 12, 2018.
