ROBBY KRIEGER & THE SOUL SAVAGES

Robby Krieger & The Soul Savagesis led by Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame Guitarist and Songwriter, Robby Krieger of The Doors. The band takes it’s audiences on a unique voyage of melodic and psychedelic rock and soul.

No one plays guitar like Robby Krieger. His sound is immediately recognizable by way of his sans pick finger style, his melodic approach to the electric guitar, and his adventurous jazzy slide offerings. The multiple Grammy Award recipient has also enjoyed success as a jazz-fusion guitarist, recording many solo albums since the late 70’s including the album, “Singularity”.

Krieger and The Soul Savages Bassist/Songwriter Kevin “Brandino” Brandon co-wrote and recorded with Robby on the “Singularity” Album. The top session bassist has won of over half a dozen Grammy awards as well as three Emmy awards. His huge list of credits includes James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, and Beyonce. A veteran from the school of funk and jazz, Kevin is known for building a rock solid foundation with his creative bass lines.

Meeting many years ago, on stage, at the Wiltern Theatre, Keyboardist/Songwriter Ed Roth, and Robby Krieger have been musically inseparable ever since. Exclusively preferring vintage organs and vintage keyboards for his work, the Grammy nominee’s playing cuts across styles and genres as he masterfully executes jazz, rock, and pop. As a session player Roth has worked with twelve Grammy winners including Ringo Starr, Brothers Johnson, Coolio, Shuggie Otis, and Annie Lennox. His Billboard top 100 jazz song of the year, “Blue” has been streamed more than a million times.

Krieger and The Soul Savages dynamic rhythm and youthful energy is provided by Drummer/Songwriter Franklin Vanderbilt. His previous musical credits include working with twenty-two time Grammy winner Stevie Wonder, drumming for legendary Chaka Khan, recording with fusion jazz pioneer Stanley Clarke and touring worldwide with Lenny Kravitz. Vanderbilt’s drumming cements the band’s deep grooves and brings savage to the soul.

Playing their own signature sound, Krieger & The Soul Savages have the courage and ability to step over the boundaries of sophisticated music.

    KYLE RISING

Growing up in Virginia, Kyle Rising loved to immerse himself in as many different styles of music as he could find. This prompted him to begin writing and playing songs of his own at a very young age.

In 2014, filled with music and inspiration, Kyle was playing his guitar on the beach while on a family vacation in Outer banks, North Carolina. There he met E.N Young, who was on tour with Tribal Seeds. Little did he know that the chance meeting would grow into a future blessing.

After finishing a year at Radford University, Kyle decided to relocate to Outer banks to pursue music with full focus and intention. Playing open mic nights, he began meeting like-minded musicians who were interested in starting a reggae band. Thus began his journey towards Sensi Trails.

Forming in 2016, Sensi Trails became an outlet for Kyle to express himself, while also paying homage to the bands who influenced him in his youth. These included Jack White, The Avett Brothers, Peoples Blues of Richmond, Stick Figure, and The Movement. The band recorded and released a 5 track EP showcasing songs such as Dirty Couch and New Romance.

By 2018, Kyle decided to move operations to San Diego, a mecca of sunshine and smooth sounds. Soon after, he reunited with E.N Young, and began recording new material for a full length album at Imperial Sound Studios. Finding sonic gold in the title track of the album, Just Livin’ featuring Kbong of Stick Figure, Kyle began scouting the scene for new band members. That’s when he found Jordan, who joined on drums, and Kaya on bass. Striving to take the songs to a new level, the group then added keyboardist Mike. Thus bringing together his dream, to breathe life into a new chapter of Sensi Trails.
