About this event
Join Ranger Aaron as he hikes and chats his way up towards the Roberts Ruins by the waterfall at Solstice Canyon. We will learn about the history behind Solstice Canyon and the ruins. We will meet at the main parking lot at 9 a.m. Show up early to grab a parking spot!
If you’ve ever wondered who used to live in Solstice Canyon or why there is a bathtub encased in rocks along the trail? Or maybe you’ve wanted to know what the ruins use to look like before they burned down, then this hike is for you!
It is an easy one-mile hike (in one direction). We will make a few stops to look at the historical features that Solstice Canyon offers. The walk will conclude at the Roberts Ruins with a room-by-room tour of the house along with images of how it looked before it burned down.
It is advised that attendees carpool if possible and show up early to grab a parking spot. The parking lot can fill up very quickly!
The hike and tour should last around two hours, but there will be plenty of time afterward for any questions!
Please bring shoes appropriate for hiking, water, a hat, and sunblock. Rain cancels.
