Studio Channel Islands, located at 2222 E. Ventura Blvd., Camarillo, kicks off the holiday season with its annual holiday fair and festival, Dec. 1–3, beginning with the opening reception, 5–6 p.m. Dec. 1, for “Good Things Come in Small Packages,” an exciting exhibit of artist-made small works from around the country, including ceramics, textile wearables and artwork, jewelry and a huge range of sculpture and painting. Artwork bought during the exhibition will be available to take away on the day of purchase. At 7 p.m.,
Studio Channel Islands artist-in-residence, Patrick Fisher, will host the Gamut showcase, with a line-up of live bands, an array of artists, food trucks and no-host bar. A few doors down from SCI, visitors can attend the City of Camarillo tree lighting, 5–8 p.m. with family-fun and a visit from Santa. Admission to all events is free.
Studio Channel Islands will host its annual holiday fair, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Dec. 2, featuring distinctive artwork for gift-giving, created by more than 50 unique resident and member artists, live music, interactive fun and crafts for all ages, food trucks and more. Come visit our 40 artist studios, and enjoy meeting the artists and watching them at work creating paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photographs, jewelry, weaving, fabric arts and more. Admission is free.
Beginning Dec. 3 and running through Dec. 10, Studio Channel Islands will host a series of special artist encounters in the Blackboard Gallery, its artists-in-residence studios and Open Studio Trail around the City of Camarillo and beyond.
