Narrative:
On 1/17/22, a Ventura Police Street Crimes Unit detective received information that a car was stolen out of Thousand Oaks by Mantej Sunner, a wanted felon. The detective located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Victoria Motel in Ventura. Detectives took Sunner safely into custody when he left the motel.
During the arrest, Sunner had a firearm concealed on his person. Sunner was arrested for Vehicle Theft, carrying a Concealed Firearm, Possession of a Firearm with Controlled Substances, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and warrants from LA and Ventura County. Sunner was booked at the Ventura County Jail.
A search of the Ventura County Superior Court of California shows Sunner has been convicted of unlawfully taking a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession for sale of a controlled substance.
