On April 10, 2020, detectives with the Thousand Oaks Special Enforcement Unit concluded an investigation into a gang related robbery that occurred on March 2, 2020 in the 200 block of North Moorpark Road in the City of Thousand Oaks.
On March 2, 2020, a Thousand Oaks Patrol Sergeant observed what appeared to be a fight in progress in the 200 block of North Moorpark Road. After a preliminary investigation, patrol deputies determined (S) Miguel Angel Rodriguez Leon had conspired with multiple suspects to forcefully take property from the victim. Rodriguez Leon was arrested at the time of the crime for PC 211 – Robbery and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility. Rodriguez Leon was released from custody on March 4, 2020.
Detectives with the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) and Major Crimes Unit began an investigation to identify and arrest the outstanding suspects. After a thorough investigation, detectives identified two of the outstanding suspects as Erick Ramirez and Bryan Pahua, who were both documented Thousand Oaks gang members.
On March 11, 2020, SEU detectives located (S) Erick Ramirez in the area of Westlake Boulevard and Deep Wood Drive, where they arrested him for PC 211 – Robbery and PC 186.22(a) – Street Terrorism. Ramirez was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility, where his bail was set at $115,000. Ramirez was released from custody on March 13, 2020 after posting bail.
On April 10, 2020, SEU detectives located (S) Bryan Pahua in the 1300 block of East Hillcrest Drive in the City of Thousand Oaks. Detectives arrested Pahua for 211 PC – Robbery and 186.22(d) – Criminal Street Gang Activity. Pahua was also on active parole with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and a parole hold was placed on him. Pahua was booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
