Godspeak Pastor Rob McCoy: “Our founders wanted to be set free from a government that would declare itself greater than God”

    By Michael Hernandez

NEWBURY PARK–”Our founders wanted to be set free from a government that would declare itself greater than God,” said Godspeak Pastor Rob McCoy during the May 10th livestream message taken from Acts 2 (the outpouring of the Holy Spirit).  “We have been muzzled, silenced and censored.  This is America?  Our founders fought for freedom.

“When are the churches of California going to declare to the governor that we are opening on May 31st—Pentecost Sunday?  We operate under the authority of God.  We are opening whether you think we are essential or not?  Whether you support us, whether the county or medical officer is going to?

“We are not going to threaten the community we love.  We will abide by all CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards.  It is critical that we are essential.    We are not afraid.  We are opening.  God has not given us a spirit of fear.  God establishes government.  To the governor:  (California)  is not a nation-state.  He (Governor Gavin Newsom)  is not a king.

“Together and unified, let’s declare to our governor that he is under the authority of God.  Let’s pray that he yields to us, that the church is critical–that liberty is not a man-made thing. It is a God idea.  Let’s stand fast in the liberty that God set us free.  Let folks see that we are essential.  Sign the petition (to the governor at TylerBursch.com) as we open the church on May 31st.

“Liberty is an individual decision It costs something.   Leviticus 25:10 is written on the liberty bell:  ‘And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants.’  We have liberty but are unwilling to face a virus that has less danger than smallpox back then.

“It is time to wake up—to ring the liberty bell in one accord—to unify the church.  Liberty came with a price.  What is more valuable than liberty for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren?

Pastor McCoy recounted “Common Sense” written by Thomas Paine during the Revolutionary War:  “Tyranny, like hell is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.  What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly:  it is dearness only that gives everything its value.  Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.
